TSUNAMI SOUND SYSTEM SUBWISE PRESSURE CHECK @ THE DUBCUB 17.6.2017
NEW @ TSONE SUMMER 2017 HYUNDAI POWER GENERATORS
The P.Audio VIA-8 two-way line array cabinet is a component in the complete VIA System, compromising two line array cabinets and a cardioid subwoofer. The heart of the VIA-8 cabinet is the on board amplification providing 1500w of RMS power (3000w peak) to the transducers. The amplifier is matched to the remote controllable DSP with high grade AD-DA converters operating at 96kHz. The DSP makes use of the latest FIR technology to ensure linear system phase. The amplifier power supply is a universal supply with power factor correction to ensure high performance and reliability, regardless of the quality of power provided to the system. Power connection is made through Neutrik Powercon True 1 connectors for a reliable connection.
The transducers in the VIA system are completely new designs from P.Audio’s research and development team. The two eight inch woofers feature a neodymium motor structure with aluminium shorting rings for reduced distortion. The cone pulp has been optimised to provide extremely accurate mid-bass reproduction, and to remain linear, even at high drive levels. The compression driver is a three inch design featuring a mylar surround for more linear performance around 1kHz where diaphragm displacement is higher. Lightweight and powerful, the high frequency driver ensures high frequency extension to above 15kHz.
The cabinet and rigging design is designed to be as simple as possible. Rear angle indictors show the inter cabinet angle for easy system set up. When large arrays are required, EASE Focus III modelling software can be used to optimize the frequency response and coverage for each venue.
The only difference between the VIA-8 and the VIA-12 is their dispersion — the VIA-8 offers an 80 x 15 pattern, while the VIA-12 provides an 120 x 15 pattern.
The P.Audio VIA-SUB is a actively driven cardioid subwoofer, utilizing a rear facing 12-inch woofer to effectively cancel the sound radiation behind the cabinet to ensures that, given correct placement, low frequency feedback issues are well controlled. The newly designed, forward facing 18” woofer, features double neodymium magnets for high flux density to ensure maximum impact from the relatively small cabinet. However, the strive for high BL has not affected BL linearity, with this new woofer design having extremely low distortion characteristics.
The heart of the VIA-SUB system is the on board amplification. The amplifier provides 1500w of RMS power to each transducer, with separate DSP for each channel. This means that the response from the front and rear facing woofers can be fully optimised individually, and then combined to create the cardioid dispersion pattern. On board RMS and peak limiting ensure reliability is maintained from the system. The cabinet features integrated rigging, which can be combined with the VIA-8 or VIA-12 cabinets. If the subwoofer is to be flown, digital aiming of the sound can be achieved thanks to the on board delay in each DSP. This means complicated rigging systems can be avoided ensuring the system set up is as easy as possible
Summer 2017 from TS-ONE SOUND LABS
Since 1949 RCF has been at the forefront of the audio industry constantly innovating in technology to develop groundbreaking products for every professional audio needs. Thanks to our great heritage we are one of only a few loudspeakers manufacturers worldwide who have the ability to completely design and manufacture transducers, speaker systems, amplification, cabinets and control electronics. This allows us to offer innovative projects with finite control of each details and to create the components that perfectly match each other for every product.
The same care and attention has been used for the Ayra Series, a brand-new line of reference monitors that combine the legendary quality and reliability of RCF development in digital amplification technology and acoustic design.
Ayra works perfectly in any listening environments, from large to small production facilities, and for the home recording studio. The Ayra Series gives you accurate monitoring and provides the engineer or producer with the right tool to make the best performance.
In our history we had the opportunity to explore and manufacture live sound products, hi-fi products and also to introduce some notable technological innovations in the studio recording such as the integrated tweeter-midrange system in our 1990 RCF SDC6000 studio monitors.
This is why we decided to combine our state of the art active live sound systems experience with our 30 plus years of hi-fi audio heritage to create a studio monitor that represents the connection between these two worlds.
With a JOKER you assure your best play in every situation!

Panasonic released the last edition of the Technics 1200 (MK6) back in 2008, and since, most have been mourning these turntable favorites.
Today, at the CES convention in Las Vegas, Panasonic unveiled the newly revamped and revived Grand Class Technics SL-1200G and limited edition Grand Class SL-1200GAE.
Generally, the classic Technics remains the same, but Panasonic has gone ahead and added a few appreciated updates. A new coreless motor has replaced the iron motor of previous models, eliminating vibrations that resulted from the old electronic motor model.
A limited 1,200 run of the 50th Anniversary edition of the Grand Class SL-1200GAE will be available this summer, and the SL-1200G will be available later in 2016.

In January 2015 the Mayor called a meeting of London’s music venues because a large number of them were facing closure or had already closed.
As a result, the Mayor's Music Venues Taskforce was set up to examine the current state of grassroots music venues (GMVs), understand the challenges they face and propose a way forward. The Taskforce comprises the Music Venue Trust (chair), Greater London Authority culture and planning officers, London music venues, the Musicians’ Union and UK Music.
The Taskforce has:
On Monday 19 October, the Taskforce launced a report at Regent Sounds on Denmark Street outlining a rescue package for London’s grassroots music venues and an action plan to create a landscape in which grassroots venues can thrive.
On Tuesday 20 October the Report will be presented at Music Venues Day 2015.
For more information please contact Paul Broadhurst in the Mayor’s Culture Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
